4. Third party products

4.1 You can apply for various products through this Website. However, these products are supplied by third parties, and we have no control over them. It is your responsibility to ensure that you want to obtain any product before proceeding. Before making a purchase, you should review the relevant product documents. The listing of a product on this Website does not imply our endorsement of the provider, the product, the provider's website content, or their activities.

4.2 All product prices are listed in British Pounds (£).

4.3 We are not liable for any loss or damage that you or any third party may experience in relation to any product you purchase through this Website, nor for any actions, omissions, errors, or failures by third parties associated with that product.

4.4 This Website provides statements about the terms of the products, including features and inclusions. Some of these statements are general summaries intended to give you an overview of the products being compared. However, since not all products are identical, you should verify the exact terms of any product you wish to purchase before doing so. The product information provided on this Website is only available to UK residents.

4.5 By submitting your personal details on this Website, you are making an offer to purchase a product from a third-party provider. This offer may either be accepted or rejected. The contract for the product will be finalized only once your offer is accepted by the relevant third-party provider. If accepted, the product will be provided to you in accordance with the third-party provider’s terms and conditions. You will receive written confirmation if your offer is accepted.

4.6 Our website may include hyperlinks to other websites as part of our service. These links are provided solely for convenience, and their inclusion does not imply endorsement of the third-party website. These websites are operated by third parties, and we accept no responsibility or liability for any statements, information, products, or services published on or accessible through them.

5. Duty of Disclosure

5.1 All quotes are provided based on the principle of "Utmost Good Faith."

5.2 You are required to act with the utmost good faith when responding to all questions and must provide truthful and accurate information at all times. This responsibility applies when applying for the policy and continues throughout its duration.

5.3 We must receive a full and honest statement of the nature of any risk presented to us. Failing to provide complete and accurate information, including all material facts and circumstances, could render your policy invalid in the event of a claim or result in a higher premium being charged.

5.4 A fact is considered material if it would influence a prudent company's decision in determining the premium or whether the risk should be accepted or rejected. You must provide all relevant facts when submitting the information and update it as necessary between the initial inquiry and the activation of any cover, as well as during the term of the policy. This applies to new orders, adjustments, renewals, extensions, endorsements, and claims.

5.5 Please note that your obligation to disclose material information to the quotation firm is paramount. If the quotation firm does not request specific information in a proposal form or questionnaire, it does not mean that the information is not important. If you're uncertain about whether information is material, please contact us at 0330 113 2041.

6. Use of the Website

By using this website, you agree not to engage in any activity that could compromise the website’s reliability or security, or cause unnecessary inconvenience to other users or us. You are permitted to use the website for personal purposes only, and only if you are a UK resident. Unauthorized use, including commercial use, is strictly prohibited, and we reserve the right to take further action, including legal action, if necessary.

7. The Cover Wheels and How We Are Paid

7.1 We offer a service on this Website that allows you to compare car, van, home insurance quotes, and accident management services, all of which are provided by third parties. We are not an insurer, nor do we offer consultancy or intermediary services. Please note, we do not provide advice or recommendations regarding the suitability of any policy for individuals or businesses. We simply search the market for the lowest rates on a non-advice basis. While we may describe the features of policies, the decision to purchase is entirely yours.

7.2 You are responsible for providing accurate information, and if the insurer provides any unfair terms, the following terms and conditions apply (particularly for customers using the Quote service). By agreeing to the insurer’s or broker’s terms on their website, you are paying Cover Wheels a separate service fee for the price searching work. If the insurer accepts payment from your bank card, this fee is non-refundable. We do not take any commission from the insurer, and our services are limited to price searching. If the payment is unsuccessful due to incorrect or false information provided by you (such as undeclared accidents, penalties, or NCB), we reserve the right to charge for our service from the amount you would have paid to Cover Wheels , even if we fail to find quotes with the correct information later. If you purchase a similar quote generated by our work, our service charges may apply, depending on the situation. If the insurer imposes unfair terms to cancel your policy, and depending on the cover time, we may refund part of the service charge (up to £50), though we are not obligated to do so under our full terms. Cover Wheels is a service provider, not the insurer or broker. Regarding legality and data accuracy, any information entered on the insurer’s website will be recorded, and the insurer/broker will send it to you via email or post. It is your responsibility to review your policy documents and stay updated with the insurer’s requirements. As an independent price-searching company, we do not monitor or manage policies.

7.3 We do not act as a broker or agent for any specific company. We comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using our services, you are appointing us to conduct price searching on your behalf to find quotes or renewal comparisons based on the information you provide. Cover Wheels does not make personal recommendations or give financial advice on the suitability of products, as we are not FCA regulated.

7.4 Some insurers do not accept third-party involvement in the quotation process, so we strongly recommend you check with the insurer directly before proceeding with the policy, especially if the quotes we send via email are used. If your policy is canceled within three months of receiving the quote links from us, we may offer a free re-search or refund our service charge, if any errors or issues occurred during our search process (subject to mutual agreement and accurate facts). If you notice any incorrect details after receiving the quotes, please amend them directly with the insurer before proceeding. If the premium increases due to these amendments, we will either adjust our service charge to cover the difference or search for you again at no additional cost (subject to price comparison site algorithms).

10.2 We make efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information on this Website, but your use of the Website and any actions you take based on the information obtained from it are entirely at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility for any losses you may incur as a result.

(A) Your use, reliance on, or inability to use the Website or its content;

10.6 Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, our directors, employees, agents, and contractors against any loss or costs incurred as a result of your breach of these Terms of Use or your use of this Website.

12. Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)

Your insurer or service provider is typically covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). If your insurer is unable to meet their obligations, you may be entitled to compensation from the FSCS, depending on the type of business and the specific claim circumstances. For more information on the FSCS compensation scheme, visit their website at www.fscs.org.uk or write to:
Financial Services Compensation Scheme,
7th Floor Chambers, Portsoken Street,
London E1 8BN.

13. Definition of Quotes

We do not act as a broker, agent, or third party for any specific insurer but instead work as an independent Price Searcher. We provide you with links to comparison websites and other companies to help you find the best deals. If you want us to manually fill out a form based on your specific circumstances, we can do so, provided you authorize us and give us accurate information. We will then search for quotes from multiple sources to find the best options, which may take more time but could save you money. However, we cannot modify the quotes or policies. The quotes provided do not account for any additional charges that may arise later, such as if you need to make changes to the policy (e.g., changing your car or address). All data and payment information is processed in compliance with the Data Protection Act & GDPR 2018.

14. Price Delivery

Typically, you will receive quotes within a maximum of 8 business hours via text (SMS) or email, based on the contact details you provided. Afterward, you will be contacted by phone to discuss your quote further. This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions and learn more about the policy features. The price we provide depends on the availability of third-party sites and the overall performance of the internet. In some cases, we may not be able to provide quotes, and we will inform you if this happens. We will notify you via phone, SMS, or email when a quote is ready.

15. Your Obligations

You are responsible for providing accurate and truthful answers to all questions on the relevant form. If you're uncertain about any details, you should disclose any information that could be relevant. Incorrect answers may result in your application being rejected or additional premiums being charged, which the insurer has the right to collect. Once you purchase a policy, it is your responsibility to review and, if necessary, amend any details with the broker or insurer. Failure to do so could invalidate your policy. You must read and understand the Terms and Conditions of the product you are purchasing from the service provider, which will be available through the third-party website link. The Terms and Conditions that apply to you with us are only related to your use of this website.

16. Terms of Risk

Each provider specializes in managing different risk levels and may not offer quotes for risks outside their target customer range. The more "high risk" or "non-standard" your risk is categorized as, the fewer quotes you will receive. In some cases, it may not be possible to obtain a quote online at all.

17. Claims & Underwriting Exchange Register

Insurers share information with the Claims and Underwriting Exchange Register managed by Database Services Limited (IDS Ltd), the Hunter Database managed by MCL Software Ltd, and the Motor Insuring Anti-Fraud and Theft Register managed by the Association of British Insurers (ABI) to help verify the details provided and prevent fraudulent claims. When you apply for coverage, the insurer may check these Registers and other relevant databases. Under your policy's terms and conditions, you must report any incident (e.g., accident or theft) to the insurer, regardless of whether you are at fault or if a claim has been made. The insurer will then share this information with the Registers and any other relevant bodies.

18. Motor Insuring Database

Your motor insurance details will be added to the Motor Insuring Database (MID), managed by the Motor Insurers' Information Centre (MIIC). It may take up to 7 days for your policy details to appear on the MID. You can check your own vehicle information at www.askmid.com. MID data may be used by the DVLA and DVLNI for Electronic Vehicle Licensing and by the police for investigating vehicle coverage and crime prevention. If you’re involved in an accident in the UK or abroad, UK insurers, the Motor Insurers' Bureau, and MIIC may use the MID to access your motor insurance details. Others, including individuals pursuing claims from road traffic accidents, may also access relevant MID data. For more details, visit www.miic.org.uk.

19. Events of Accidents and Claims and Underwriting Exchange (CUE)

If you have had any accidents (fault or non-fault) or claims (whether a claim was made or simply reported) in the past 5 years, you must disclose this at the application stage. Failure to do so could lead to the invalidation of your policy and may result in cancellation fees. Additionally, your current premium may increase. Insurers and brokers have access to the CUE database, which records details of motor, home, and personal injury/industrial illness incidents that may affect your application or policy.

20. Motor Convictions, Fixed Penalties, or Disqualification and Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA)

If a driver has any motor convictions, fixed penalties, or disqualifications within the last 5 years, they must disclose this information during the application process. Failure to do so could invalidate the policy, and cancellation fees may apply. Additionally, your premium may increase. Insurers or brokers may check the DVLA database for any motor convictions, fixed penalties, or disqualifications. The DVLA is a UK Government agency responsible for maintaining a database of drivers and vehicles in Great Britain.

21. No Claims Bonus (NCB) / No Claims Discount (NCD)

If you are applying for a policy that includes a No Claims Bonus (NCB), you may be required to provide proof of the NCB. It is your responsibility to provide this proof, which should be a renewal notice or letter from your previous insurance provider showing the main driver as the policyholder (yourself) and the NCB declaration. A policy schedule is not valid proof and may be rejected. The NCB can only be applied to one policy at a time and must have been used within the last 24 months.

22. UK Residents Only

The products and services offered on this website are available only to UK residents, insuring within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man (excluding the Channel Islands). By using our services, you confirm that all applicants on your policy are UK residents. If there is a change in the residential status of any policyholders, it is your responsibility to inform the cover provider immediately.

23. Intellectual Property

All copyright material on this website, including brands and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors. You may download, copy, or store the content for personal use only. Using or copying the content for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. You must obtain written permission from us or the copyright owner before using any material.

24. Responsibility for Content

The information provided on this website is on an "as is" basis. We do not make any representations or warranties regarding the content's accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose. There may be technical inaccuracies or typographical errors in the content, and we disclaim all liability for such errors to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the website or linked websites are free from viruses or malware. It is your responsibility to use appropriate antivirus software. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, including, but not limited to, property damage, loss of income, or data loss. This limitation of liability applies to all damages, and nothing in this clause limits your statutory rights or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

25. What You Will Pay for Our Services

Fees related to amendments in your policy are outlined in your policy documentation from your insurer and are payable directly to your cover provider. Other fees will be communicated to you before proceeding with the policy. We provide quotes free of charge, but if you decide to proceed with a quote or reference it, you will be charged a separate service fee. This fee is included in the quote and is payable after you finalize your policy. If you provide inaccurate or false information, resulting in policy cancellation, our service charge will not be refunded. We do not share this fee with your product or service provider, and it is not linked to your policy. If you are dissatisfied with our service or experience any errors, we may reimburse the difference or, in some cases, refund the full service charge, subject to eligibility.

26. Indication and Level of Our Administration and Service Charges

In accordance with Trading Standards, we must inform you of our service charges. The quotes you receive via SMS or email will indicate the total price, including all charges. Our service charges are based on an hourly rate: £200 per hour for Senior Service Officers or Management, and £150 per hour for other staff members. Administrative charges apply to all letters, emails, and telephone calls we make or receive, at rates of £25 and £20 respectively. If any bill remains unpaid, we may charge interest, and our fees are reviewed annually.

27. Complaints Procedure

If you are unhappy with our service or policy, please contact us by phone first. If you are still dissatisfied, you can write to our Service Quality & Assessment Manager. You can reach us by calling +447415844411 between 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). We aim to resolve complaints within 48 hours; if we cannot, we will explain the next steps. You can also write to us at:
Complaints Dept,
Cover Wheels ,
Registered in England & Wales
Registered Office: England, LU12NA.
Please provide your name, contact details, policy/quote number, and a description of your complaint. If we require more details, we will contact you by phone or email. Depending on the nature of the complaint, it may take up to two weeks to resolve. If the complaint is due to an error on our part (e.g., clerical or typing), we may reimburse or refund the full service charge, depending on eligibility.

28. Fraud

Deliberately misrepresenting or failing to disclose information that affects the terms of your policy, whether during application, policy term, or renewal, is considered fraudulent. This includes providing false or concealed information or documents. If fraud is suspected, the insurer has the right to cancel or void your policy and may recover any costs incurred. Any premiums paid may not be refunded.

29. Termination

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to issue a warning, suspend temporarily, or permanently terminate your access to the website if you:

29.1 Breach these terms and conditions or act inconsistently with them.

29.2 Violate or attempt to violate the rights of other users or third parties.

29.3 Engage in any fraudulent activities.

29.4 Threaten or abuse Cover Wheels employees in any form, whether verbal, physical, or otherwise.

29.5 Refuse or decline any price search work or quotations at our discretion.

30. Governing Law

30.1 These Terms of Use, and your use of the website, are governed by the laws of the UK.

30.2 Both you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts regarding these Terms of Use and your use of the website.
